Terms of Service

1. The service

Jannat AI extracts structured data from documents you upload and, where applicable, identifies discrepancies between documents. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at team@jannat.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. You must be at least 18 and using the service for business purposes.

3. Your documents remain yours

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and the data extracted from them. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process and return that content to you.

We do not use your documents to train or improve our models.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including any consent needed from third parties whose information appears in those documents.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to upload unlawful content, infringe anyone's rights, attempt to breach or probe our systems, reverse engineer the software, resell or sublicense access without our written agreement, or submit content containing malware. You may not use the service to produce documents intended to deceive a customs authority or any other regulator.

We may suspend an account that breaches this section, with notice where practicable.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Fees are in US dollars and exclusive of taxes.

Each plan includes a stated monthly document allowance. Allowances do not roll over.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your access continues until then. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where required by law.

If payment fails we may suspend access after reasonable notice. We may change prices on 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.

6. Free trial

Trial accounts receive a limited document allowance for a limited period, with no payment details required. We may modify or end trials at any time.

7. Accuracy — read this one

The service uses automated extraction. It is not a substitute for professional review. Output may contain errors, including missed fields, incorrect values and undetected discrepancies.

You are solely responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, and for any filing, declaration or submission you make to a customs authority, regulator, carrier or counterparty. We are not a customs broker, we do not provide customs, legal, tax or compliance advice, and nothing produced by the service constitutes such advice.

Any accuracy figures we publish are aggregate measures across test data and are not a guarantee of accuracy on any particular document.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and will give advance notice of planned downtime where practicable. Custom availability commitments are available on enterprise plans by separate agreement.

9. Our intellectual property

The service, software, models and documentation are ours and remain ours. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the use described above. Feedback you send us may be used without restriction or compensation.

10. Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or produce accurate output.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, customs penalties, fines, demurrage, detention or delay costs, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, your breach of section 4, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate immediately for material breach or non-payment.

On termination your access ends and your data is deleted in line with the Privacy Policy. Export anything you need before cancelling. We will provide a reasonable export window on request if you ask before termination takes effect.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cobb County, Georgia.

Before filing, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by writing to team@jannat.ai and allowing 30 days.

16. General

These terms, with the Privacy Policy and any order form, are the entire agreement between us. If any provision is unenforceable the rest stands. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
